Lost Incarnations: A Poetry Collection by Alice
Here’s a taste of some of my poetry. A few of these are old poems, ones that have won awards/competitions in the past few years. Others are rather raw and new and experimental.
Story of One Life — inspired by a recent visit to my birth country, China.
The Wallflowers — a poem about tangled cultures, being immigrants or the children of immigrants, and being wallflowers. Inspired by something I read in my Communications textbook — Asians and Asian Americans apparently experience the most anxiety and shyness during public speaking. This is also the shortest poem I’ve written in years, so I’m proud of the length. Hehe.
