About Me

When I was five years old, I immigrated to America. My parents made me a VCR tape of two dozen animated Disney movies. I watched Alice in Wonderland religiously, and when we picked English names in ESL (English as a Second Language) in kindergarten, I became Alice.

Welcome to my thought-place. I’m an aspiring writer. In the real world, I just finished my first year of college, I’m double-majoring in Biology and English and, strangely, I’m also pre-medicine. Here I talk about my writings, post book reviews and will probably discuss artistic struggles at some point.

My Pinterest: Ever Blue

MBTI Personality Type: INFP (I discuss MBTI continuously, make all my good friends take this test and am kind of obsessed with how well suited the INFP umbrella is for me.) If you wanna talk about your MBTI type(s) or personality tests in general, let me know!

Favorite Movies: Mr. Nobody, Wedding Dress (Korean), Bluer Than Blue (Korean), Now and Then

TV Shows I Watch: The 100, Mistresses (it’s a guilty pleasure my summer roommate and I indulge in every Wednesday), Once Upon a Time, Growing up Fisher, The Neighbors, Modern Family, The Middle

Favorite Music: dream pop, alternative, indie rock, indie pop, 90s alternative

Languages I Hope to Master Someday: Chinese (somewhat fluent and perhaps 3/8 literate?), German (1 year in high school, but hope to learn it to fluency someday), an Australian accent

Favorite Songs (with favorite lines in parentheses): Trust by The Generationals (Are you gonna give me what I’m asking for?), Ten-Twenty-Ten by The Generationals (You remind me of a distant constellation…), Jashn E Bahara, Numa Numa (I sold my strings, my heart, my dreams, and I made something that’s real to show you how I feel), Running Back to You by For the Foxes (There’s a piece of you in every song I sing…where our childhood runs wild and free), I Wanna Go by Yuna (He wants to live in a city…moved out there when he was just seventeen), Nepal by San Cisco, Ribs by Lorde, One Headlight by the Wallflowers, 400 Luxe by Lorde, A Dustland Fairytale by The Killers, We Are Going to Be Friends by The White Stripes, Middle Distance Runner by Sea Wolf, Mr. Jones by Counting Crows, In Memoriam by Everybody Else, The Memory Machine by Julia Stone, Fly Me to the Moon (sung by Angelina Jordan), You’re a Wolf by Sea Wolf, Harlem by New Politics, Oxford Comma by Vampire Weekend…..[I’ll just stop here]
